Texting in Class

The student next to me could not stop texting in class today. She must have really had an important conversation going on.

Flipping this enormous contraption of a cellphone/typewriter. We're sitting around a conference table, it's not like we're in a traditional classroom here. Everybody can see you mashing away on your cell phone. Really, I'm sure it was much more enthralling than the lively discussion about political discourse in our press, but can't it wait?

The professor had to have seen it. I guess he figures if she cares so little about class, it's her loss. Not to be stodgy, old fashioned or curmudgeonly, but texting in class is just so annoying. We've threatened to check Taylor's cell phone bill, to make sure his text messages don't occur during class time.
